Keisha Sutton is an educator, editor, and CEO of her own signature apparel line. She encourages coders to pursue their passion, increase their value and their paychecks! With over a decade of medical coding experience, Keisha is trailblazing the coding community with her energetic personality and edgy approach to professional development.
Originally from Washington, DC, Keisha recently moved to Chicago, IL after being offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to work as a Senior Coding Analyst for a leading professional organization. Keisha graduated with a B.S in General Sciences from Virginia Commonwealth University and has her Masters in Health Service Administration. Although starting her career as a biller, Keisha is primarily known for her role as a Coding Educator at the American College of Obstetrician and Gynecologist (ACOG), the specialty’s premier professional organization dedicated to the improvement of women’s health. She has traveled to over 30 cities in the U.S educating physicians, authored several coding publications and resources, and was featured in the AAPC Healthcare Business Monthly, July 2016, “Secrets of Successful Coders” issue. As a result of her hard work and dedication, she was able to turn a minimum wage income into a six-figure salary within a few short years.
Keisha is quickly growing into a prominent role model for aspiring coders across the country. Through education, mentorship, and coaching, she hopes to continue influencing others to fulfill their purpose in the health care industry.
